India's First R/c Car Off - Road Championship in June 2009 by BRC HOBBY

DEAR MEMBERS,

I would like to inform all the R/C car fans that BRC Hobby is initiating with the first R/C Car Championship in Mumbai for the first time in India. This will be held at the Kyosho Raceway in Panvel from the 5th of June till the 7th of June.

The Schedule of the Race is as following

5th June - Practice Day (till 3pm)
5th and 6th of June - Qualifying Day (from 3.15pm on 5th of June till 5.30 pm on the 6ht of June)
7th June - Final Race day

The categorizes are as following:

    * 1/8 scale off Road monster truck => 0.28 size engine
    * 1/8 scale off Road monster truck < 0.28 size engine
    * 1/8 scale Off Road Truggy
    * 1/8 scale Off Road Buggy
    * 1/5th scale Off Road Buggy / Truggy
    * 1/10 scale Off Road Buggy
    * 1/10 scale off Road Stadion Truck/ Truggy/Monster Truck
    * Drag Race (150mm long)
    * 1/8 scale electric open class

This would be awesome fun for all the RC hobbiest as the event will be big.

Guys the event was fantastic and we all had a blast over the track.

Sorry guys for my late reply as I got sick after the event and have just recovered back for my illness.

we had an open category for the electric car. I forgot to post it (as it was decided on the spot as we have 5 electric drivers on the race day and we made an option for them)

Also regarding the people who missed this event we are having another race scheduled to be held by mid of October where we will be racing for a few weekend till December end. And this time by next month I will post the full schedule of how the race is going to be planned.

So please post here if there are any information you need about the track or the race and I will post some picture of the event soon.

It would be nice if you post some pictures of the race event. I tried to come to watch the race but couldn't find the place. It would be nice if you tagged the place on google earth or wikimapia.

Is it possible to race at brc track on weekends ?...just for fun.

Yes our Team BRC /Hong Nor India is attending the race and will be present at the event with the all new launched Hong Nor/Jammin Cars for the race.
